PICCFEST 2006

July 3 gala features 350-voice super chorus

Outstanding youth choirs travel far and wide for the chance to sing under Henry Leck, one of the world's most inspiring directors. For his second appearance as the Guest Conductor of the Pacific International Children's Choir Festival, Mr. Leck will transform eight outstanding choirs from throughout the United States into a single 350-voice super chorus.

Within just three days of arriving in Eugene, the choirs listed below will join as one to preview their "Untraveled Worlds" concert program during the opening ceremonies of the renowned Oregon Bach Festival!

After a week of intensive rehearsals on the University of Oregon campus, this exhilarating work by Paul Halley will highlight a colorful sampling of choral music from around the globe for the ninth annual PICCFEST Gala Concert in Silva Hall at 8 p.m. on July 3.
